Nous avons passé quelques jours à La Bastide des Tremieres. La Bastide des tremieres est un paradis dans la vallée de la Dordogne. La maison est un hébergement de charme avec une vue magnifique où beaucoup de tranquillité. Le copieux petit déjeuner sur la terrasse de la maison avec ces belles vues. Les chambres sont spacieuses et bien entretenues.
Mais le meilleur de La Bastide des Kiek Tremieres est son propriétaire, un charmant et toujours à la recherche pour rendre votre séjour inoubliable femme. N'oubliez jamais votre café riche et délicieux dîner vous avez cuisiné.

Magnifiques bâtiments marqués par les ans, mais formidablement restaurés. Confort et décorations impeccables. Vue magnifique sur le vallon, les vignes … L'accueil de l'hôtesse est simple et chaleureux. Elle met tout en œuvre pour faciliter à notre groupe hétéroclite (des grands parents aux petits enfants, toutes les générations sont représentées) l'installation, donne de bons conseils pour découvrir cette très riche région. Le climat n'était pas au rendez vous et nous n'avons pas pu utiliser la piscine mais quelques éclaircies ont permis de prendre quelques repas sur la très jolie terrasse, parfaitement exposée. Allez y, retournez y !

The room we had was extremely comfortable and well furnished and probably the largest room we have ever had in a hotel or B&B anywhere in the world!!

De Chambres d'hôtes van Kiek is de perfecte locatie tussen Sint-Emilion en Bergerac. St Antoine is eveneens een goede uitvalsbasis voor Pomerol, Bordeaux en de baai van Arcachon. Wij verbleven in een idyllisch landhuis in “a room with a view”. Kiek is een fantastische gastvrouw die ons keer op keer heeft verwend met de lekkerste gerechten. Kiek heeft aandacht voor de kleinste details en ook de aandacht voor onze kinderen is ons zeker bijgebleven. Wij hadden 2 kamers gehuurd die met een trap verbonden waren – ideaal dus voor een gezin van 4. Het zwembad heeft een hoog charmegehalte en heeft aansluitend een dakje waar men kan rusten in de schaduw. Het was een supervakantie ook al waren de weergoden ons niet zo gunstig gestemd.

Het schrijven van een stukje voor een gastenboek is alsof je een hoofdstuk van je eigen memoires aan het redigeren bent.
Je hebt het immers over ervaringen die achter je liggen en waarvan het in de regel de bedoeling of althans de verwachting is dat de strekking positief is.
Maar hoe kun je positief zijn als het weer je in je zomervakantie volledig in de steek laat en je bovendien moet vaststellen dat je de verkeerde garderobe in je koffer hebt gestopt. Welnu dan zullen de overige ingredienten die voor het slagen van je vakantie bepalend zijn, zodanig veel toegevoegde waarde moeten hebben dat je toch nog tot positieve totaalscore komt.
Laten we de lezers niet langer vermoeien met een te formeel intro. De gastvrijheid van Kiek en haar "secondante" Francoise is van dusdanig hoog gehalte, om nog maar te zwijgen over de charme en het comfort van het etablissement dat wij daar graag een week regen voor over hebben gehad. De eerlijkheid gebiedt ons wel te melden dat Pluvius wat ons betreft een weekje later had mogen komen.

Paradise. There's really not much more to say. The view, the perfectly appointed rooms, the amazing breakfasts, the kitchen garden where you can pick perfectly ripe tomatoes and plums for al fresco dejeuner sur la terasse, the copious amounts of local wine made by Kiek's brother. I wish I was back right now! And did I mention the best meal we had in the Dordogne was prepared by Kiek and served on the terrace with the wonderful company of our other guests? We traveled as a family and found this the perfect place for all three generations that spanned ages of 67 to 4 years old.

Epoustouflant! Coutumiés des hôtels haut de gamme et de leurs suites, nous ne pensions pas que des chambres d'hôtes d'une telle qualité puissent exister. Le cadre est magnifique, l'accueil des plus chaleureux. La maîtresse de maison, Kiek, est une vraie perle, toujours au petit soin, attentionnée à souhait. C'est un vrai voyage dans le temps (du côté de chez Heidi) qu'offre cette Bastide des Trémières avec des rencontres des plus faciles et enrichissantes.

Ruta and I along with our friends Alin and Cheryl stayed at this most wonderful house in early July of this year (2010). The accomodations were amazing, and Kiek, the owner, was a helpful and wonderful hostess. The location is out of Bordeaux near St. Emilion, away from the city far enough that you feel you are in a special place, but close enough to drive to many of the wonderful wine areas with ease. We certainly hope to one day return for a longer stay so we can enjoy this wonderful place and its surroundings.

We have just returned from a glorious 5 day stay at La Bastide des Tremieres. We are 3 couples who have traveled together many times and surely this was one of our most memorable experiences.
From the beautiful breakfast each morning to Kiek’s delicious dinner, the hospitality was wonderful. We felt completely at home.
We were welcomed as well by les chats, Flutie and Barbara.
With Kiek’s intrepid leadership, we enjoyed a magnificent hike through the surrounding vineyards and her touring suggestions led us to beautiful towns and meals in the nearby villages. All in all, our visit was FORMIDABLE and we look forward to a return trip!

We spent a day in the bastide in March 2009, after looking for several other places nearby, which all were closed at that time. We were extremely surprised of Kiek's hospitality, offering us her salon, where we spent the evening at the fireplace, enjoying a typical French dinner with baguette, cheese and a bottle of red wine from Kiek's brother's vineyard in the neighborhood. After having a great breakfast, we enjoyed the fantastic view over the valley of Dordogne and a walk through the village.

This is a very special Chambres d'hotes, in a beatiful old house, containing many original features, and tastefully furnished. The bedroom was large and comfortable with a lovely view over the valley. Keik was attentive and helpful and easy to engage with -- her breakfasts are difficult to beat, especially when eaten outside on the terrace. We only stayed for two nights but would gladly recommend La Bastide to others.

I travelled with my 11-year old daughter this summer in Southwest France and had stayed in this B&B for 3 days. We were first attracted by the photos of this "farm house" and the beautiful country setting. It turned out to exactly what I had hoped for, if not more.
We stayed in a room on the ground floor which has the extra convenience of a refrigerator and small kitchen, and a private entrance. Our hostest is helpful and made us feel at home. The place is roomy and cozy. The back garden was in full blossom and offers a great view of the valley below.
What I like most about this place is the warm and jolly atmosphere that we felt as soon as we arrived. Interaction with other guests that we met was spontaneous and happy. While we've been to other more luxurious and expansive accomodations in other parts of the Perigord, this place offers a unique experience that strikes the chord at the bottom of my heart and the resonance will definitely stay forever, and we look forward to returning next time we visit this part of France.

Our room (Matisse) is bright and roomy and the bed is the best one we have encountered on the trip! Breakfast is a delight and is served on the terrace overlooking the valley below.

Merci aussi pour votre accueil, votre disponibilité et votre gentillesse. Merci pour les trois repas en table d'hôtes où j'ai pu, comme tous ceux présents ces soirs là, goûter à votre cuisine fine et généreuse. De plus, j'ai rencontré, cette année encore des gens très sympathiques, qu'ils soient français, hollandais, belges ou australiens. Pour notre anniversaire de mariage, comme chaque année depuis 4 ans nous partons en week end détente dans une chambre d'hôte. Cette année à la bastide, tout était au rendez vous, le calme, la beauté de la demeure et l' accueil simple et chaleureux de kieck que nous tenons encore à remercier. Prendre un petit déjeuner en terrasse face à la vallée de la Dordogne, sous un beau soleil est exceptionnel. Pouvoir flaner à la piscine, et partir visiter Saint Emilion. We have just arrived home to Australia after having a lovely two months away in your beautiful France ands also in Spain, UK, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong. By far, out stop over for two nights at your place was certainly one of the highlights of staying at over 28 hotels, B&B's and apartments during our trip. The position of your "Farm House" was so serene in a beautiful country setting to "die for". We were also lucky to take advantage of nearby St Emillion, Bergerac and a little village called Duras - such beautiful towns/locations Thanks also for your kind hospitality and knowledge of the area. The room we had was very roomy for European standards as were the lounge rooms. We also enjoyed a dip in your pool to cool down in the hot weather we were experiencing at the time (early July). The breakfast s were great which also included cooked eggs ( to our Aussie liking !!!) and a large pot of fresh tea, not to mention the usual French goodies. I should also mention the local dutch cheese which was also a treat. Thanks again Kiek and I am sure if we ever make it back to France we will be keen to look you up again.

We waren op reis door de Perigord en zochten een onderkomen voor vier nachten in de purpere wijnstreek. De Bastide van Kiek is meer dan een onderkomen. De oude hoeve biedt een prachtig uitzicht op de de Dordognevalei, ze is smaakvol en confortabel ingericht. Een aanrader voor wandelaars: ga rechtdoor door wijngaarden en langs de kreken in de vlakte tot aan de Dordogne in St. Auylaye, 4uur. De gastvrouw, iedereen noemt haar Kiek, zorgt ervoor dat de gasten in de vier kamers en de bijhorende gites een kleine ongedwongen gemeenschap vormen. Vakantie op hoog niveau. Bedankt Kiek.

Una casa preciosa, privilegiada, y con unas instalaciones muy cuidadas y de nivel (habitaciones amplias y bonitas, vistas brutales, piscina, conexión a internet).
Buen equilibrio precio-calidad, salvo quizás por el desayuno que podría ser mas especial dado que se paga aparte.
En definitiva, muy pero que muy recomendable!

Le site Internet de la Bastide donne envie d'y aller, c'est ce que nous avons fait par hasard du "Web" pour une nuit et y sommes restés trois. La Bastide en vrai donne envie d'y revenir, c'est ce que nous ferons sans hasard. Presque tout y est : maison de charme, vue superbe, région de.vin. Et puis l'hôtesse est à l'avenant. ueber 2.000 km sind wir gefahren um nach bergerac und in die schoene dordogne zu kommen. wir haben aus oesterreich das schoene wetter mitgebracht und haben hier eine wunderschoene zeit verbracht. Das Quartier ist sehr liebevoll renoviert und alles, was fuer einen erholsamen urlaub noetig ist vorhanden.
Wir werden sicher eines Tages wieder kommen, denn es gibt in dieser Gegend noch sehr viel zu besichtigen.
Danke vielmals an Madame, wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefuehlt und werden in Oesterreich werbung fuer diesen wunderschoenen Platz machen.

We had stayed at La Bastide for one night in 2005 and always dreamed of returning so this time we booked for 5 nights. Our expectations of being welcomed back, made to feel at home and being able to relax completely were not only met but exceeded. As Australians on a month long visit to Europe La Bastide was a place where we could unwind and practice our French if we wanted to but also have a break and speak English to our multilingual host, Kiek. The view from the terrace is even better than it looks in the website and gave us a real feeling of space and peace after time in crowded cities. A joy to have a spacious room too. Beautiful villages are close at hand and Kiek is a fund of information on the best places to eat.and visit. We found her recommendations spot on and she was quick to pick up on the type of people we are and tailor her hospitality to suit us personally. With a bit of luck we will return!

La Bastide is a most charming and comfortable B&B, surpassed only by Kiek’s hospitality and cooking, one simply must have dinner if available! The breakfasts were delightful, especially the homemade fig preserves, yummy! Conversation with Kiek and the other guests made our trip a much more fulfilling experience, we’ll definitely be coming back.
La Bastide est charmer et B&B confortable, surpassé seulement par l'hospitalité de Kiek's et la cuisine, une simplement doit dîner si disponible ! Les petits déjeuners étaient délicieux, particulièrement les conserves faites maison de figue, délicieuses ! Al weer een weekje thuis maar wat hebben we een leuk lang weekend gehad. En wat hebben we genoten van jouw gastvrijheid, het lekkere eten (de recepten zijn al uitgewisseld) en de heerlijke bedden. Voor Wieb was het een enorme belevenis, zij kan straks nagenieten met “de benen op de bank” en de foto’s op schoot. Kiek heel erg bedankt, en ook de anderen van het fenomenale gezelschap, voor jullie warmte en vriendschap. Het was een weekend om nooit te vergeten.

Everything has been thought of; the rooms are spacious, the beds make you want to sleep 12 hours a day and drinks and dinner were waiting for us after a very long journey. Wij mochten een weekje mee met een aantal oud gedienden. Zo leerden wij Kiek kennen en La Bastide. Wanneer je in een van de mooie zitkamers bent of aan het zwembad en je ziet in je ooghoek iets voorbij schieten dan is dit Kiek, weer bezig om een gast het naar zijn of haar zin te maken. Advies over een tripje of een bezoek aan een wijngaard, u vraagt, Kiek draait. Van het verzorgde ontbijt tot een diner, Kiek draait haar hand er niet voor om. En dan....... is er de nachtrust in een van de prima kamers. Kiek bedankt en tot ziens. O ja, de "groep " was ook leuk.

Lieve Kiek, We komen hier nu al voor de vierde keer. De gastvrijheid, de vrijheid en de warmte, die we hier meemaken zijn fantastisch en geven ons het gevoel van thuiskomen. De gezellige, comfortabele kamers en gemeenschappelijke verblijven zijn ideaal voor (verwende) gasten zoals wij. Er zit echter een nadeeltje aan en dat is het afscheid nemen. De enige reden, waarom we niet meer langs zouden komen, is omdat we geen afscheid meer willen nemen.

Hi Kiek,
De voornemens waren groots na het uitzonderlijk leuke veblijf bij jou in Bordeaux. We wilden iets speciaals maken maar zoals het veelal gaat ontbrak ons de tijd. Destenietemin wilden we je minstens toch verrassen met een paar leuke woorden en fotos. Je kan het misschien op je site plaatsen. We overwegen om volgend jaar langer te komen om zo de streek te kunnen verkennen. Laat ons alvast iets van je weten moest je in de buurt zijn of als je broer een wijn avond organiseert. Als we kunnen zijn we zeker van de partij.
Ons korte maar rake intermezzo is ons uitzonderlijk goed bekomen. We hebben genoten van elk aspect van ons verblijf, van het leuke paas ontbijt, classe logeerkamers, gezellig biljarten tot het mooie kader. Maar vooral de gastvrouw maakte het verschil. De gezellige babbels, het lekkere glaasje wijn en de gedeelde interesses. Al bij al een topper van formaat. Wij komen alvast terug, gewoon een kwestie van nieuwe verlof dagen te hebben in het volgend jaar en dan eten we ook een potje mee want dat is een ervaring die we blijkbaar gemist hebben.

“Voor het eerst samen op reis, twee maand nadat ons moeke ons ontvallen was, het leek niet simpel. Maar zodra we bij Kiek toekwamen vonden we “ l‘ esprit en le savoir vivre” terug. Heerlijk fietsen in de omgeving tussen de wijngaarden en dan een verkwikkende plons in het mooie ruime zwembad. De perfecte uitvalsbasis naar Sauternes of Saint Emilion of Bergerac of zoveel meer Bordeaux. Het heerlijk ontbijt op het terras met enkel het gezang van de vogels en het zicht op de groene vallei van de Dordogne. En laat Kiek gerust eens koken voor u, ’s avonds, als ze dat voorstelt, met een streepje klassiek of jazz op de achtergrond. Ik/wij kom(en) zeker nog terug. The view remains unspoiled by a no-go golf course, thus leaving La Bastide a reputation of the best view in town. This goes along with a hostess who is friendly, understanding, helpful and world-wise while letting her guests enjoy a good meal, a great (romantic) room, meaningful conversations and relaxing interior and exterior rooms. SInce wine did not influence the writing of this critique, imagine what a good bottle of the product of the local chateaus will do. A must if you are in the area and a plus if you do it in any of the 4 seasons. Kiek, you have done a great job and we look forward to another visit.

Wat een rijk bezit, zo’n fraai landgoed op deze prachtige plek in Frankrijk !
Wij hebben genoten van je gastvrijheid, de gezelligheid, en van je culinaire verrassingen. De inrichting van je estate straalt ‘grandeur’ uit, alles is zo goed op elkaar afgestemd, van superieure kwaliteit en uiterst verzorgd. ‘14 Juillet’ bij jou, samen met de overige gasten te mogen doorbrengen, met overheerlijke culinaire specialiteiten uit de streek en afgerond met een groot vuurwerk in St. Foy vormde een hoogtepunt van ons verblijf bij jou en van onze vakantie.
Wij zullen onze ervaringen met vrienden delen en hopen nog eens de kans te krijgen bij je terug te komen.
